Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit gdos.uk or contact us. It is written for visitors in both the Philippines and the United Kingdom. GDOS is operated by G Chisholm, who is the personal information controller (or data controller) for enquiry correspondence. G Alba is the local manager in the Philippines. GDOS is a sister brand of Geesc Online. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@gdos.uk.
Information we handle
The enquiry helper uses the name, business type and message you enter to prepare a draft in your email app. The website does not submit those details to us or save them in browser storage. You decide whether to send the email. If you choose “Copy enquiry”, your device's clipboard receives the draft.
When you send an email, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message or later correspondence. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.
Cloudflare may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser, device and time of access. We do not receive a visitor profile from this technical data.
Why we use it
We use personal information only to:
- respond to enquiries and discuss work you ask us to consider;
- prepare for, enter into or perform a project agreement;
- keep necessary business, security and legal records; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Under UK data protection law, the relevant grounds are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, our legitimate interests in answering genuine enquiries and operating the business, and compliance with legal obligations. Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, we process information for the purposes you request, where necessary for a contract or steps requested before a contract, and as otherwise permitted or required by law. Where consent is legally required, you may withdraw it by contacting us; this does not affect earlier lawful use.
Who receives it
We do not sell personal information. Enquiry correspondence may be handled by our email provider and by professional advisers or service providers where reasonably necessary. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect legal rights. Cloudflare processes website request data as a hosting and security provider. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy.
International processing
This site serves visitors in the Philippines and the UK, and our hosting and email suppliers may process information in other countries. Where data protection law requires it, we use an appropriate legal safeguard for an international transfer and remain responsible for information under our control.
How long we keep it
We keep routine enquiries only while we need them to respond and follow up, ordinarily for no longer than 12 months after the last contact. If an enquiry leads to work, relevant correspondence and project records may be kept for the project and afterwards for tax, accounting, contractual or legal-claim periods. A provider may retain limited security or backup records for its own documented retention period.
Cookies, fonts and demos
This version of the website does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not include embedded chat or advertising tools. Fonts and images are served with the website. The interactive examples use fictional data held only in page memory; reloading the page resets them. Because no non-essential cookies are used, there is currently no cookie consent banner. We will update this policy and add any required choice before introducing analytics, advertising or similar technology.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy. You may also object to certain use, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and complain about how your information is handled. These rights can have legal limits. There is no solely automated decision-making or profiling on this site.
Email a request to hello@gdos.uk. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant correspondence. We will respond within the period required by the law that applies to your request.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. UK visitors also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Philippine visitors may complain to the National Privacy Commission.
Security and children
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. No internet or email service is completely secure. This business-services website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under 18.
Other websites and updates
Links to project websites and Geesc Online lead to separate sites with their own privacy practices. We will update this policy if the website's data handling changes. The date above shows when it was last revised.
